About Serengeti National Park
The Serengeti National Park is perhaps Africa's most famous wildlife destination, covering 14,750 square kilometers of endless plains in northern Tanzania. The park is the stage for the Great Migration, one of nature's most spectacular events involving over 2 million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles.
Beyond the migration, the Serengeti boasts exceptional year-round game viewing with large predator populations including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas. The diverse landscapes include short and long grass plains, acacia woodlands, rocky outcrops (kopjes), and riverine forests.
The park's ecosystem supports an incredible diversity of wildlife and is considered one of the world's last great wildlife refuges.
