What is the best time to visit Uganda?

Uganda can be visited year-round, but the best times are during the dry seasons (December-February and June-September). These periods offer better road conditions and wildlife viewing opportunities.

Do I need a visa to visit Uganda?

Most visitors need a visa to enter Uganda. You can apply for an e-visa online before travel or get a visa on arrival. We recommend applying online in advance to avoid delays.

How much does a gorilla permit cost?

Gorilla permits cost $700 per person for foreign non-residents, $600 for foreign residents, and UGX 250,000 for East African citizens. Permits should be booked well in advance.

What should I pack for a Uganda safari?

Pack lightweight, neutral-colored clothing, hiking boots, rain jacket, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and binoculars. For gorilla trekking, bring waterproof boots and gloves.

What is the currency in Uganda and can I use credit cards?

The Ugandan Shilling (UGX) is the local currency. US Dollars are widely accepted for tourism activities. Credit cards are accepted in major hotels and restaurants, but cash is preferred in remote areas.

How physically demanding is gorilla trekking?

Gorilla trekking can be moderately to very challenging depending on the location of the gorilla family. Treks can last 2-8 hours through dense forest and steep terrain. Basic fitness level is required.

What is included in your tour packages?

Our packages typically include accommodation, meals as specified, transportation, park entrance fees, guide services, and activities mentioned in the itinerary. International flights and personal expenses are usually excluded.
