About Semuliki National Park
Semuliki National Park is Uganda's only true lowland rainforest, representing the easternmost extension of the great Ituri Forest of the Congo Basin. This unique ecosystem covers 220 square kilometers and is home to Central African wildlife species not found elsewhere in Uganda.
The park is famous for its Sempaya Hot Springs, where visitors can boil eggs in the naturally hot water. The forest is home to over 400 bird species, including many Central African species, making it a birdwatcher's paradise.
The park offers excellent opportunities for nature walks, bird watching, and cultural experiences with the local Batwa and Bamba communities.
